Experienced 30 year-old Portuguese midfielder who joined Hayes & Yeading in September 2023 having spent just over 2 seasons in the National League with Dagenham & Redbridge. He initially came through the youth system at Barnet, making his first team debut against Grimsby Town at the age of 16 in May 2010 before going on to spend over 10 years with the Bees amassing 227 appearances for the club and scoring 22 goals. His early days with Barnet also saw him gain experience with loan spells at Hendon and then three different spells at Boreham Wood. Having left Barnet, he signed for Wingate & Finchley in September 2020 and in January 2021 he went on dual registration to National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough before leaving both to sign for the Daggers in March 2021. Thereafter making in excess of 60 appearances before his release in the summer of 2023. Mauro can play all across the midfield and has also been deployed as a full-back/wing-back at times too.
