Left-back Luke Warner-Eley having been unable to nail down a regular place in Mark Molesley's side has decided to move on and has today joined Southern Premier Central strugglers Berkhamsted.

Two newbies drafted in
23/12/2023

With injuries mounting, Manager Mark Molesley drafted in two teenagers ahead of today's visit to Winchester City.

First to arrive was 19 year-old back-up goalkeeper Lindrit Beqiri who had been with United through pre-season before signing on with Combined Counties Premier side Tooting & Mitcham United. Second arrival was former Dagenham & Redbridge under 18s left-back or midfielder Ellis Lawson who was last with Coggeshall Town.

We welcome both players to the SKYex for this important Christmas and New Year programme and forwards into 2024.

This week Johnny Allotey decided to return to his old club Harrow Borough as he had been unable to nail down a starting role at United and catching up on a departure from several weeks ago that has just come to my attention is that Lene Burden has departed for pastures new and signed for Histon.

We thank both players for their efforts at United and wish them well with their new clubs, apart from anytime we cross swords on the pitch of course.

Fundraising for Ben Shroll
01/12/2023

Most of you would have seen young defender Ben Shroll get stretchered off back in August at Hanwell Town after colliding with the pitch surrounds, what you may not know is that his injury has not only stopped him playing but has had a knock-on effect to his work and subsequently his everyday life.

The management team and Chairman Dev Jassi are asking for your assistance to raise some funds to help Ben with the costs of scans, investigations and most likely an operation.

This will start with a bucket collection on Saturday against Plymouth Parkway and at games up to and including Hanwell Town on Boxing Day. Additionally, all the clubs share from the 50/50 draws during this time will be added to the amount collected with the Chairman offering to match the amounts raised pound for pound.

Sadly this fundraising effort has been delayed by the lack of home games recently but let’s come together now to help raise some money for Ben to get him seriously on the road to recovery thus continuing a very promising career in football.

Thank You
